Our Story

I started Craft Pop Studio (formerly Camp Pop) after discovering my passion for creating fun and creative activities for my daughter’s 5th birthday. Since November 2024, I have participated local markets and worked with Barrie’s own Kings & Castles Indoor Playground on a very successful Taylor Swift dance party and a Charlie Brown PA Day Camp at Aurora’s Kids Cuckoos Nest Indoor Playground.

Hello, my name is Kat!

Since I could remember, I was always the artistic creative child that learned how to draw at the age of 6, picked up the camera at the age of 14 and found the world of graphic design by the time I graduated high school. I completed the Graphic Design program at George Brown College in 2007 with an advanced diploma in Graphic Design.

I have worked in the Public Relations industry working as a Jr. Graphic Designer with UGG Australia, GUESS Watches and Toronto Fashion Week helping out with not only their design materials but with their events. I was the official photographer for the Toronto Centre for the Performing Arts (now known as Meridian Arts Centre) and have had the opportunity to design menus and curate photoshoots for seasonal menus.

After stepping back from the industry, I focused on starting a family and after my daughter’s 5th birthday, a new venture was unleashed! Since being a Barrie Resident since 2021 and having resided in the town of Innisfil in Cookstown since 2018, I really fell in love with the community here and wanted to contribute my skills and love for the arts.
